LEEDS, ENGLAND - MAY 15:

Robbie Savage has suggested in The Mirror (print edition, page 83, Saturday, May 25, 2019) that Aston Villa are favourites against Derby County on Monday afternoon.

Villa will take on Derby at Wembley Stadium in London in the Championship playoff final in a few hours’ time.

Former Derby midfielder Savage has given his take on the final, and he has suggested that the Villans are the favourites.

The former Wales international midfielder has also said that his head tells him that Villa will win, but his heart says that Derby will emerge victorious.

Savage wrote in The Mirror (print edition, page 83, Saturday, May 25, 2019): “My head says Aston Villa but, as a former Rams captan, my heart says Derby County.”

The Welshman added: “Although Villa have the firepower, and deserve to be favourites, I wonder if Lampard has done more rabbit left in the hat.

“With respect to all my friends in the claret-and-blue half of Birmingham… come on, Super Frank!”
