Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and Cardiff City reportedly want Lewis Holtby.

Lewis Holtby is leaving Hamburg this summer and will be a free agent, and it makes sense why Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring the midfielder to Ibrox.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in signing the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The Germany international struggled to make an impact at Tottenham, but the 28-year-old midfielder played well for Hamburg.
Hamburg have announced on their official website that Holtby is leaving the German club this summer, and that will encourage Rangers in making a move for the former Fulham loanee.

However, Rangers manager Gerrard seems set to face competition from Cardiff City for the services of the former Schalke midfielder.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 69, May 26, 2019), Cardiff manager Neil Warnock wants to sign Holtby on a free transfer.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the midfielder would love to return to the UK with Cardiff, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
