Is Massimo Cellino 'getting the band back together'?

While Leeds United fell short, former owner Massimo Cellino clinched promotion this season with Brescia to Serie A.

It was reported last week that he is plotting a raid on Elland Road to sign Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi, Brescia Oggi report.

Now he is interested in signing Mirco Antenucci for a second time, report Tuttomercatoweb.

Antenucci and Berardi were both signed by Cellino for Leeds in 2014.

Berardi remains at Leeds, while Antenucci quit the club in 2016 when his contract expired.

Antenucci currently plays for SPAL, where he scored five goals in 34 top flight games this season.

At 34-years-old, it's hard to see him as a game changing signing for Brescia if he makes the move.

Antenucci may not be so keen on a move. In an interview with Calciomercato, he slammed Cellino for ruining his time at Leeds.

He would only have himself to blame if he heads to Brescia and has a negative experience.
