Leeds United are reportedly still in the hunt to sign Harry Wilson from Liverpool next season.

Despite missing out on promotion, Leeds appear to be setting their sights high this summer, with The Sun on Sunday (26/5; page 69) reporting that the Whites are still in the race to sign Harry Wilson from Liverpool.
It was The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 61) who reported that Marcelo Bielsa had been keen on signing the Derby County loanee during the coming months – but the report noted that the Whites planned to make their move if they secured promotion to the Premier League.
Of course, it was partially down to Wilson’s Rams that Leeds will be playing Championship football again next year as they suffered play-off heartbreak earlier this month.
That defeat would have left a lot of supporters writing off their chances of signing a number of the players that they had been linked with since promotion had looked a realistic possibility. But it appears that Leeds are not quite ready to admit defeat in Wilson’s case.

The Sun on Sunday (26/5; page 69) is reporting that the Whites are still keen on signing Wilson, despite Liverpool wanting the 22-year-old to play at the highest level next year and Wolves also being interested in the youngster, who, the Daily Mail reports, is valued at £25 million.
It is noted that the Reds could loan Wilson out, and it is surely fair to say that that would be Leeds’ only hope if they wanted to get something done. And even then, it appears to be an ambitious pursuit from the Elland Road outfit.

Wilson has scored 18 goals in all competitions, and it would be a surprise if the Reds were keen to loan him to the Championship for another year if there are Premier League bids on offer.
But there is no question that it would be an outstanding piece of business if Leeds did manage to sign the youngster.
