Odsonne Edouard was the star of the show for the Hoops, as the French striker scored both the goals for the Glasgow giants.
Celtic legend Bonner was following the match, and he was impressed with the display produced by winger Hayes.
The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international started the match and played for 89 minutes, and Bonner was impressed with his performance at left-back.
Bonner told BBC Sport about Hayes: “Jonny Hayes has been excellent, we wondered how he would do at left-back on this pitch, but he's done the job magnificently, defended well, got himself forward, been a threat down the left side.”
Meanwhile, former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has praised Celtic on Twitter for their success on Twitter.
Congratulations to Celtic 9/9 trophies in the last 3 seasons is an incredible achievement.— Tam McManus (@The_Tman10) May 25, 2019
Wasn’t pretty today but Celtic showed character and belief to come back and win. Always find a way to get it done.
Commiserations to Hearts who gave everything on the day.
Celtic’s win against Hearts means that they have won the domestic treble in Scotland this season - the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup.
This is the third year in a row that the Hoops have achieved the incredible feat, and the Glasgow giants have to be lauded for what they have done.
