Frey is one of three players being linked to Leeds United in a single report.

Leeds United are interested in signing the Fenerbahce striker, Michael Frey, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.
But what should Leeds fans know about their latest target? HITC Sport has the lowdown, here…
How did he get here?
Frey began his professional career at BSC Young Boys in his native Switzerland, where he impressed to earn a £2.7 million move to Lille. When that didn’t go to plan, the 25-year-old returned to the Stade de Suisse via a loan spell at Luzern. But he stayed for just one season before switching to FC Zurich, and Fenerbahce a year after that – for another £2-million-plus fee.
Wasn’t Marcelo Bielsa at Lille?
Correct, although the Leeds manager arrived a year after Frey left. The Argentine was, however, in France at the time, as boss of Marseille.

He’s a good touch for a big man…
Although he stands at six-feet-two-inches tall, Frey is more than just an aerial threat. The 25-year-old has averaged a goal every three-and-a-half games throughout his senior professional career and his strengths include ‘through balls’ and ‘defensive contribution’, according to WhoScored.
Why would he leave Fenerbahce?
It’s been a frustrating first season for Frey in Turkey, where he made just 19 starts (from which he has scored five goals) amid competition from Islam Slimani and Roberto Soldado. Niggling injuries, including torn ligaments, a thigh muscle rupture, inguinal hernia and groin problem, have also restricted playing time, according to Transfermarkt. On that basis, he’d fit right in at Leeds.

How much would he cost?
There is no mention of a fee in the YEP’s report, and Leeds’ interest appears to be very much just that at this stage. With three years left on his contract, the ball is firmly in Fener’s court. But having only paid £2.4 million a year ago, Frey should be within the Whites’ price range, especially if major sales occur.
