Newcastle United are reportedly chasing Joe Bryan.

According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle United are keen to land Fulham left back Joe Bryan this summer after being relegated to the Championship.

The Magpies are still battling to keep Rafael Benitez as their manager, with news thin on the ground on that subject right now.

Still, Newcastle continue to be linked with a host of players despite Benitez’s uncertain future, and a new left back appears to be on the radar.

Loanee Antonio Barreca is heading back to Monaco after an uneventful spell on Tyneside, and a replacement will be needed to challenge with Paul Dummett.

The Northern Echo now report that Newcastle want Fulham ace Bryan, having been pursuing his signature for a ‘couple of years’, including last summer before he left Bristol City for Fulham in a £6million deal.

Bryan, 25, went through an up and down first season in the Premier League, showing some great attacking player but being part of a dismal Fulham back line.

Bryan may be keen on a return to the Premier League if Newcastle offer it to him, having dropped back down to the second tier, and the Magpies should be looking to make a move as soon as Benitez’s future is resolved.
