Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is said to be considering bringing in the left-back from Fulham.

Newcastle United fans are not keen on the rumours linking them with a move for Joe Bryan of Fulham.

The Northern Echo claim that Newcastle could move for Byran this summer, following Fulham’s relegation.

Rafael Benitez is looking to sign a left-back who can provide competition for Paul Dummett next term.

But Newcastle supporters don’t believe that Byran would be a good addition.

Bryan was heavily linked with Newcastle before the season started, but Fulham ended up getting to the left-back before the Magpies managed to.

Bryan has failed to enhance his reputation over the past campaign, as he was part of a Fulham defence who looked very shaky.

The 25-year-old did start to show improvements towards the end of the campaign though, so he could still remain a smart addition to Benitez’s squad.

Newcastle are still negotiating to keep Benitez at St. James’ Park next term, but it is thought that the Spanish boss has already identified transfer targets who he would like to sign.
