The South London Press reports Martin could be set to sign for West Ham despite being offered a new deal with their rivals, Millwall.
The 33-year-old moved to the Den from Milton Keynes Dons in 2017 and finally established himself as number one towards the end of last season.
But it is suggested he could be as low as third-choice if he joins West Ham, whose current number two, Adrian San Miguel, is out of contract this summer.
To exacerbate Millwall's problems, should Martin indeed depart, their other two senior goalkeepers, Jordan Archer and Ben Amos, have already left at the end of their deals.
But what are those of a Lions persuasion making of the rumour?
This is what's being said on Twitter...
Well done Harris. Got rid of two goalies and another returned to his club. Martin isn’t that great but wouldn’t blame him going there for the money.— Millwall Thoughts (@MillwallThough1) May 24, 2019
Not certain to be first choice depending on who Harris signs. I wouldn’t blame him for taking the money— Jim Neal (@jimmneal) May 24, 2019

Must be family thing why Martin Wants to play for West Ham. His uncle Alvin Martin played for them .— richard (@Carbisbay17) May 24, 2019
Why else would you leave as a potential number at one club to go and be third choice at another.
Please don’t insult me with It’s a money thing

If Martin does go to West Ham, fair enough. Not guaranteed 1st choice if we bring someone else in so he might as well sit on the bench at a PL club for more £. Had a decent run but was never going to be long term - still not sure I've forgiven him for Brighton either #Millwall— Jack Clarke (@jack_clarke) May 24, 2019
I dont care if Martin wasn’t going to be our first choice keeper, We stood by him after the Brighton game and backed him, if he than turns down our contract offer and goes to sign for West Ham the guys a **** in my opinion. No other way of looking at it. #Millwall
Bad form from Martin, as everyone stuck by him when he ****** up and cost us a money spinning semi final! Daddy West Ham must have got involved!!!
Martin's father, Alvin (below, far right), spent 20 years as a player at West Ham.
Would Martin be missed if he moves to West Ham?
