Everton fans generally appear against the idea of signing Kevin Strootman from Marseille.
However, Toffees fans feel that the time has now passed for them to sign the 29-year-old.
Maybe a few years ago but we don’t need another Klassen. Rather play Davies.— ¥MTFC TAYO (@S_TAYO96) May 22, 2019
Let him go to Man Utd all day.— Mick (@mick197811) May 22, 2019
Injuries and wages would be prohibitive— El Pivote (@elpivoteftbl) May 22, 2019
Pointless signing. Has a better passing range than Schneiderlin. But not as athletic - and that’s enough reason to say no— DANNO (@DANNOJ1878) May 22, 2019
Injury prone so no thanks— Shauny J (@ShaunyJk1878) May 22, 2019
Would of been good 2 years ago, now as a squad player maybe— James Andrews (@SavEliiz2014) May 22, 2019
Strootman has enjoyed an impressive season at Marseille over the past campaign, but he has previously struggled badly with injuries.
Everton already have plenty of midfield options, and they have focused on bringing in younger players since Marcel Brands’ arrival.
Everton had an excellent transfer window last summer, and they will be looking to be similarly productive this time around.
