West Bromwich Albion's potential new boss could face one of his alleged former suitors, Sheffield Wednesday, next season.

West Bromwich Albion's latest managerial candidate was considered by Sheffield Wednesday before Jos Luhukay's ill-fated reign, according to The Sun.
The Express and Star claims Bruno Labbadia is expected to hold talks with West Brom later this week.
But Labbadia might already be working in English football had Luhukay not, in the words of The Sun's Alan Nixon, 'fit the budget and profile' Sheffield Wednesday were seeking at the time.
And that decision now looks an error on the Owls' part. Although they fell just short of joining West Brom in this year's end-of-season play-offs, it took the departure of Luhukay and subsequent arrival of Steve Bruce to transform fortunes at Hillsborough.

Meanwhile, Labbadia led Wolfsburg to sixth and Europa League qualification in 2018/19, having kept the Bundesliga aside afloat in his three months in charge the previous campaign.
And Sheffield Wednesday's loss might soon be West Brom's gain, although the German is also interesting Hamburg and several Chinese clubs, according to The Express and Star.
