Arsenal need to make signings this summer and have been linked with Leicester City’s stars, as well as Lille’s Ligue 1 forward Nicolas Pepe.

Ian Wright has admitted that he would love to see Arsenal sign Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and Nicolas Pepe this summer, speaking to The Mirror.

Unai Emery could end his debut season at The Emirates with a Europa League trophy but there is still plenty of work to be done if The Gunners, who finished fifth in the Premier League, want to establish themselves at the top of the English game.

Replacements for Nacho Monreal and Aaron Ramsey are needed at left-back and attacking midfield while Arsenal are also short of goals out wide.

But Wright thinks he has spotted three players who are capable of taking Emery’s team to the next level after a mixed 2018/19 campaign.

“Someone like Ben Chilwell. He is the kind of left-back who is getting better with every game. He’s an England international now. Somebody that I’m sure is going to be sought after,” the Arsenal legend said when asked who his former club should sign.

“Then there is Youri Tielemans. He came over from Monaco. He’s on loan at Leicester City and he’s someone that – well there are loads of teams linked with him – but he’s someone that you’d want to have.

“And Nicolas Pepe at Lille. That kind of winger with his intensity, pace and skill. Those are the kind of players that are definitely going to improve any team, if I’m totally honest.”

Chilwell and Tielemans have both been linked with Arsenal after shining for Leicester last season. The latter is valued at £40 million, according to The Telegraph.

As reported by Goal, however, Arsenal have been in talks with 22-goal Lille talisman Pepe for the last 12 months but it remains to be seen whether they can afford a forward who has caught the eye of some of Europe’s biggest spenders.
