Days Gone AMA starts today: Ask Bend Studio anything

Days Gone 6

As a thank you to the Days Gone community, Bend Studio will respond to a bunch of queries in an AMA.

Bend Studio’s Days Gone is a solid foundation that has become the year’s biggest launch, and to celebrate its successful release Bend Studio is answering the community’s questions over on Reddit.

Although it hasn’t received the best critical reception over on Metacritic thanks to complaints about the technical drawbacks and Deacon’s uncriticised behaviour, the Sons Of Anarchy x World War Z PlayStation 4 exclusive has gained a fanbase.

In advance of The Last Of Us Grounded Mode treatment arriving in June, Bend Studio wants to thank their passionate community by answering a bunch of questions.

Days Gone AMA date and time

To thank the community for their feedback, fan art, screenshots, and videos, Bend Studio is answering questions about Days Gone over on Reddit.

Bend Studio will start responding to queries today at 14:00 PT (22:00 BST), and you can submit any burning questions you have right now.

The developers involved in the AMA include:

  • Ron Allen - Lead Designer
  • Shay Casey - Lead UI/UX Designer
  • Darren Chisum - Lead AI Programmer
  • Paul Deakin - Audio Lead
  • Eric Jensen - Lead Open World Designer
  • Romulo Rodriguez - Lead Mission Designer
  • Russ Severe - Environment Team Lead
  • Wenceslao Villanueva - Lead Technical Game Designer
  • Elyse Lemoine - Narrative Game Designer

This is a great opportunity for fans of Days Gone to ask questions such as what inspired the project and whether Bend Studio has any plans for a sequel.

Days Gone already has more lifetime sales than God Of War in Japan and it was top of the UK boxed charts for three weeks (before being usurped by Rage 2), so it’s likely Sony will commit to their intention of making Bend Studio’s biggest project to date a franchise.

In other gaming news, a supposed leak from inside Square Enix claims to reveal the price and a PSN demo for Final Fantasy 7, and CD Projekt RED could announce their next game after Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019.
