Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente appears to be closer to an exit from the club this summer.

Llorente’s contract expires in June and The Sun report he has not been offered an extension. It leaves Spurs needing to replace their valuable plan B to Harry Kane.

The Spaniard has proved an excellent option for Spurs and helped them overcome Ajax in the Champions League semi-final.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sebastian Haller is the ideal replacement for Llorente.

Haller stands at an imposing 1.9 metres tall and is one of Europe’s top target men.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has scored 20 goals this season, and has a further 12 assists.

His strike partner Luka Jovic has just signed with Real Madrid. Haller is prime property too.

As Jovic’s success this season shows, Haller can play alongside a top striker, making him ideal to line up with Harry Kane instead of simply being an alternative.

Llorente’s lack of adaptability made his time at Tottenham difficult. Haller would not run into the same issues.
