Atlus' newest gameplay video for Persona 5 The Royal briefly shows some of the extended cut's third-semester.
Atlus has released a brief gameplay video that shows off some of the third-semester activities that Persona 5 The Royal will boast.
In addition to a third semester, Persona 5 The Royal will also include extra confidants, an additional Phantom Thief, unique areas to explore in Tokyo, and better optimisation so players can experience the narrative at a swifter pace.
The Japanese studio previously released a video that showed off some of the new outfits fans can expect, and they have now come through with one more attack.

Persona 5 The Royal video shows kimonos and Hatsumode
While the inclusion of another Phantom Thief and Human Morgana is enticing, the most exciting aspect of Persona 5 The Royal is the addition of a third semester.
If you experienced the original, then you know all too well the disappointment that came with seeing the days fly by in the game’s Q1 of 20XX.
However, Persona 5 The Royal will rectify this disappointment by having a third semester. We don’t know too much of what this third semester will involve, but the newest video from Atlus’ shows the Phantom Thieves enjoying Hatsumode (a Shinto Shrine visit done on New Year’s day).
As you’ll see in the video below, the Phantom Thieves’ heroines are dressed in Kimonos, and the newest addition Kasumi is present. It’s impossible to tell when exactly Kasumi will become a Phantom Thief, but - hopefully - her involvement shouldn't rob Haru of any more screen time.
