Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly amongst the teams to make enquiries regarding the forward.

According to a report from the Sunday Mirror (19/5; page 70), Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County have joined Middlesbrough in enquiring about Sheraldo Becker, with the forward’s contract set to expire this summer.
The Whites are making plans for another year in the Championship after their breathtaking season included one final cruel twist as they were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by the Rams.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Marcelo Bielsa will still be at Elland Road beyond the summer. But it appears that Leeds are not wasting any time trying to make the additions that they hope will take them across the line in 12 months.
The Sunday Mirror (19/5; page 70) reports that the Whites have enquired about Becker, but they are not alone in pursuing the 24-year-old, with the Owls, Boro, Swansea City and Frank Lampard’s side also making contact.

The report notes that Becker is out of contract at Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag imminently. And judging by his form over this past season, it would appear that it could be a bargain move for whichever team manages to land him.
Becker scored seven goals and contributed 10 assists in the top flight, having predominantly played on the right of a front three. His frightening pace, composure out on the wing and in front of goal, and vision hints that he could be a superb addition for any of the interested sides.
But with his deal in the Netherlands expiring next month, a lot of pressure will be off wherever he heads next. And if he proves to be Elland Road-bound, he will immediately prove to be a hit with the supporters if it turns out that Bielsa has had a big say in Leeds’ decision to make enquiries.
