Arsenal reportedly want to sign Wilfried Zaha from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

Charlie Nicholas believes Wilfried Zaha’s price-tag is anything but over-inflated, telling Sky Sports that the reported Arsenal target is worth more than £60 million in today’s market.

The 26-year-old has apparently told boyhood club Crystal Palace that he wants to leave Selhurst Park and test himself at the highest level after once again dragging Roy Hodgson’s side clear of the relegation zone.

The Telegraph reports that Arsenal are one of many clubs interested in offering Zaha a new home with Unai Emery desperate to add goals and creativity out wide. The Ivory Coast international produced ten goals and ten assists in 2018/19, making it the most productive campaign in his career.

So with those impressive statistics in mind, Arsenal legend Nicholas has pointed out that Palace are right to demand top dollar for their talisman.

"I would refuse any suggestions to get Wilfried Zaha away. Unless someone comes in with £60m, I wouldn't take it,” Nicholas said.

“The key for them is to keep Zaha - he is a superstar player and entertainer.”

Funds are expected to be very tight at The Emirates this summer and Emery would probably have to sell one or two big name players, perhaps Henrikh Mkhitaryan or Mesut Ozil, in order to fund a deal for Zaha.
