Marcelo Bielsa was appointed the Leeds United head coach in the summer of 2018.

According to The Mirror, Leeds United expect head coach Marcelo Bielsa to return to the club in time for pre-season training.

Bielsa will reportedly return to his native Argentina soon to spend time with his family before coming back before the start of pre-season in mid-June.

The report has claimed that the Argentine manager has approved a list of summer transfer targets that director of football Victor Orta is currently working on.

Relief for Leeds United fans

With Leeds having been knocked out by Derby County at the Championship semi-final playoff stage, Elland Road faithful will have been worried about the future of Bielsa.

This latest report in The Mirror suggests that the Whites are not worried about losing Bielsa this summer.

The Argentine was superb for the club this season, and if he stays on as the head coach and is allowed to make the signings that he wants, then Leeds could challenge for automatic promotion from the Championship again in 2019-20.
