Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers wants Joe Aribo at Ibrox in the summer transfer window, while Neil Lennon’s Celtic are interested in the Charlton Athletic midfielder, according to The Independent.

The report has claimed that Aribo is out of contract at Charlton at the end of the season.

It has been reported claimed that Southampton in the Premier League are interested in the 22-year-old midfielder, but Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga in Germany are favourites for the youngster’s signature.

Promising player

Aribo is a very talented and promising young midfielder who has done well for Charlton in League One this season.

The former Staines Town man has been instrumental in the Addicks reaching the League One semi-final playoffs this season.

If Rangers or Celtic are able to sign Aribo, then the midfielder will prove to be a good signing for the Gers or the Bhoys in the long run.

However, with Frankfurt and Southampton also claimed to be interested in the youngster, it is not going to be easy for the Old Firm duo to convince the midfielder to move to the Scottish Premiership.
