Axel Tuanzebe is on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United at the moment.

According to The Mirror, Aston Villa are interested in signing Axel Tuanzebe from Manchester United on a permanent contract if they get promoted to the Premier League.

Villa have reached the Championship playoff final this season, and will take on Derby County at Wembley Stadium in London later this month for a place in the Premier League for the 2019-20 campaign.

Tuanzebe spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa Park from Premier League giants United, having joined the Villans in January 2018 when Steve Bruce – now the manager of Sheffield Wednesday – was in charge.

The 21-year-old central defender returned to Villa on a season-long loan deal from the Red Devils in the summer of 2018.

According to The Mirror, Villa manager Dean Smith wants to make the England Under-21 international’s loan deal permanent this summer if the team clinch promotion to the Premier League.

The defender has played well for the Villans this season and has established himself as an important player in Smith’s team, making 26 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership, according to WhoScored.
