Joe Worrall of Rangers
Worrall joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Forest in the Championship in England in the summer of 2018.
The 22-year-old central defender will return to the Reds when his loan spell ends, Allen has stated.
Allen told Rangers’ official website: “There’s no secret to the fact Joe Worrall will go back and return to Nottingham Forest, so obviously, there’s a focus on making sure we are robust back there and I think generally we’re looking at where we think we can strengthen.”
Disappointing spell at Rangers
Much was expected of Worrall when he arrived at Rangers on loan from Forest last summer, with manager Gerrard telling Sky Sports before the signing was made that the defender is “fantastic”.
The English youngster has played well on occasion for the Gers this season, but there have been too many times when he has left much to be desired.
Worrall, though, is a very good and promising young defender, and perhaps he will get his chance at Forest next season.
