Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.

Burnley striker Peter Crouch has suggested in The Daily Mail that he would love to see Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale back at Tottenham Hotspur.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are interested in signing Bale from Madrid in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Spurs’ transfer committee are discussing the possibility of a loan deal for the winger who was on the books of the North London outfit from 2007 until 2013.

The report has also claimed that Madrid are willing to do a deal in which a club pays pays around £250,000 a week for Bale’s salary and a £10 million loan fee for a season, with the Wales international earning £600,000 per week in wages.

Crouch played with Bale at Tottenham, and the Burnley striker has suggested that he would love to see the 29-year-old former Southampton man back at Spurs.

The former Liverpool striker has also disclosed what he heard regarding Bale’s plan on his future.

Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “Gareth Bale’s position at Real Madrid continues to confuse me and the misuse of such a talented player is ridiculous.

“We share the same agent and, as far as I know, he is determined to stick it out in Spain. He is happy living there and wants to force his way back into the team, regardless of the speculation that continues to follow him.

“But if he is not going to be used regularly next season, I would love to see him return to Spurs. I saw reports earlier this week of him going back to the club on loan, with a £10million loan fee suggested.

“I know how Daniel Levy operates and that certainly wouldn’t be the kind of deal he’d like to do!”
