It has been suggested that Brendan Rodgers could return to Parkhead this summer in an attempt to sign Celtic winger James Forrest.

According to The Sun, Leicester City are interested in Ismaila Sarr of Rennes, and that can only be good news for Celtic.

Leicester have been linked with a move for Celtic winger James Forrest recently in The Times.

However, the Foxes now seem to have diverted their attention away from Celtic.

There were fears when Brendan Rodgers left Celtic that he could look to take some of their star players with him to Leicester.

But Forrest has always insisted that he wants to remain at Parkhead and Celtic may well just be winning their battle to keep hold of the rapid winger.

Forrest has been arguably Celtic’s best player over the past campaign, where he has posed a huge threat to defences across Scotland.

If Celtic were to lose him to Leicester it would be a major blow to the Glasgow side.

But Leicester’s interest in £25 million-rated Sarr (Sun) should calm Celtic nerves over potentially losing their star winger.
