Patrick Bamford joined Leeds United in the summer of 2018.
The Whites suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of Derby at home in the second leg of their Championship playoff semi-final tie on Wednesday evening.
The Whites had won the first leg 1-0 away from home at the Pride Park Stadium last weekend, meaning that the Rams went through to the playoff final 4-3 on aggregate.
Bamford, who joined Leeds from Championship rivals Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018, has taken to Twitter and Instagram to reflect on the 2018-19 season, and some Leeds fans have responded to his message.
While some Leeds supporters have been complimentary and have said positive words, there are others who have criticised him.
The 25-year-old forward has had a difficult season with injuries, but the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest forward still managed to make 16 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

It wasn’t the ending we all dreamed of, but we have set standards and learnt a lot that will only make us stronger next year. Thank you for your continued support, after having missed 2/3 of this season with the knee injury I sustained, I’m already looking forward to next season and excited to see what we can achieve #mot
