Gary Neville reacts to Leeds United's play off exit

Leeds United were beaten by Derby County at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

Gary Neville has offered no words of support to a disconsolate Leeds United fan on Twitter.

Leeds were beaten in the play offs by Derby County on Wednesday night, as they missed out on promotion once again.

And one Leeds fan, rather optimistically, asked for some words of support from former Manchester United man Neville.

However, the Sky Sports pundit was in no mood to console Leeds.

Leeds were beaten 4-2 on the night by Derby in one of the best play off matches in memory.

The Whites had taken a 2-0 lead on aggregate when Stuart Dallas gave them a lead early on, but they fell apart Jack Marriott scored Derby’s first goal.

 

The Whites could not cope with Frank Lampard’s side in the second half, as they conceded three times.

Leeds are now preparing to spend next season in the Championship, while Derby will take on Aston Villa in the play-off final.
