Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Lee Wallace’s time at Rangers appears to be over, as the left-back looks set to leave the Ibrox club at the end of the season.
According to The Scottish Sun, Wallace will leave Rangers in the summer transfer window when his current contract with Steven Gerrard’s side runs out.
The Daily Record has claimed that Dundee United are keen on signing the 31-year-old left-back on a free transfer this summer.
Wallace has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2011 when he joined from Heart of Midlothian for a transfer fee reported by The Scotsman to be worth £1.5 million.
Former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie has given his take on Wallace’s situation, and believes that the 31-year-old is the best left-back that Rangers have.
McAvennie said about Wallace on Open Goal: “He is the best left-back they have got.”
