Cardiff City stopper Neil Etheridge should reject West Ham United transfer offer

West Ham United are said to be keen to snap up Neil Etheridge from Cardiff City.

Neil Etheridge should reject West Ham United, as he would only be sitting on the substitutes’ bench at the London Stadium.

Wales Online report that West Ham are eager to sign the Cardiff City stopper, following the Welsh side’s relegation into the Championship.

The Hammers are eager to bring in a new goalkeeper, as they are set to lose Adrian this summer.

 

But Etheridge would be very foolish to move to the London Stadium, as he wouldn’t have a chance of playing regular football.

Lukasz Fabianski has arguably been West Ham’s best player over the past campaign, and his place as number one is very secure.

Etheridge proved over the past campaign with Cardiff that he is far too good to be stuck on the bench.

And by signing for West Ham Etheridge simply wouldn’t get as much football as a player of his talent deserves.
