West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will be keen to bolster his attacking ranks this summer, in a bid to help his side push for a top seven finish in the Premier League table next season.

With this in mind, the Hammers should consider a move for Liverpool ace Xherdan Shaqiri, who could be available for transfer this summer, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Stoke City last summer for around £13 million, according to BBC Sport, but he has failed to impress at Anfield.

He hasn't really been given ample opportunity to shine, however, and a move to West Ham might be just what he needs in order to reinvigorate his career.

Shaqiri, who currently earns £80,000 per week according to Spotrac, is a real talent, and he undoubtedly has what it takes to be a hit at the London Stadium.

Quite how much Liverpool would be prepared to sell the 27-year-old for remains to be seen, but the Hammers must test the Merseyside outfit's resolve nonetheless.
