Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has seen his stunning solo effort against Chelsea named in the shortlist for the Premier League Goal of the Season.

The South Korea international broke his duck for the 2018-19 campaign in style as Spurs ran out 3-1 win over the Blues at Wembley Stadium on 24 November.

Son had not long returned to Tottenham after helping his country win the Asian Cup, a trophy that also saw him become exempt from national military service.

With Spurs leading their London rivals 2-0 nearing the hour mark, the 26-year-old latched on to Dele Alli's delivery from deep and marauded forward, outpacing Jorginho.

He then cut into the Blues area, getting the better of David Luiz and slotting beyond the reach of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and into the far corner of the net for his 50th Spurs goal.

Tottenham proudly announced the news on their Twitter feed and urged fans to vote ahead of the 5pm deadline on Friday 17 May:

Son's goal was famously not shortlisted by Sky Sports' Twitter account when it came to the best Premier League goals of that particular weekend:

Here is how some of the Lilywhites faithful responded to Son's GOTS nomination on the social media platform:
