According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, there is only one position that is up for grabs in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI for the Champions League final, and James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum will fight it out for the spot.
Klopp has been fairly consistent with his team selections this season, and the Liverpool Echo claims that 10 of the 11 places for the final are all but certain, with Alisson Becker between the sticks behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson.
The front three picks itself with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah expected to line up in Madrid.
And the Liverpool Echo suggests that Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are dead certs to start the final, leaving one remaining place open.
They claim that Milner and Wijnaldum are the two candidates for the role, and much will depend on how Klopp will want to approach the game, although the Dutchman's heroics int he semi-final against Barcelona surely stands him in good stead.
The English veteran is extremely dependable, however, and Klopp will not be let down, whoever he picks to start the final for Liverpool.
