The Tottenham Hotspur winger could be a summer transfer target for PSV Eindhoven.

When speaking exclusively to Dutch media outlet De Speld, PSV technical director John de Jong suggested that PSV Eindhoven will spend their entire transfer budget on Tottenham ace Lucas Moura, if they sell Steven Bergwijn to Ajax.

The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018 for around £23 million, according to BBC Sport, and despite a slow start to life in north London, he has gone on to be a real hit, racking up 16 goals and six assists in 59 appearances in all competitions thus far.

Lucas offers Spurs something entirely different tin the final third, what with his blistering pace and direct playing style, and Mauricio Pochettino will surely not be too keen on selling him this summer.

PSV supremo John de Jong suggested that he will test Tottenham’s resolve this summer, however, and make a big bid for the Brazilian, should Bergwijn up sticks for Ajax, when speaking exclusively to Dutch media outlet De Speld:

“It’s very simple: if Ajax takes Steven away from us, we will offer Tottenham our entire budget to sign Moura if necessary.”

Bergwijn is a summer transfer target for Ajax, according to Voetbal Primeur, and judging by John de Jong’s comments, Tottenham will be hoping that the 21-year-old winger stays put.
