Leeds United's promotion dream will have to wait another year.

The Whites lost their 1-0 advantage, losing 4-2 at Elland Road to Derby.

 

Leeds were relegated from the Premier League in 2004, and this was as close as they have come to returning to the top flight.

One of Leeds former heroes of the 2000s, Olivier Dacourt, was left miserable by the Whites defeat.

He posted a message on Twitter expressing his sadness.

Dacourt's name is just a reminder of the good times Leeds United once enjoyed.

And that makes their sadness at missing out on promotion all the more painful.
