Several Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun which have suggested that the Magpies are amongst the group of sides interested in signing Everton winger Yannick Bolasie this summer.

Bolasie is reportedly available having failed to do enough during his two loan spells this term to win round Marco Silva. He initially struggled to impress at Aston Villa, and has not exactly pulled up trees at Anderlecht either.

Nevertheless, The Sun reports that there is Premier League interest in him ahead of the upcoming window, with Newcastle and Southampton interested in a permanent bid, while Crystal Palace are weighing up making a loan bid for the player that they sold to the Toffees for £25 million.

The report notes that Bolasie - who earns £75,000-a-week at Goodison Park, according to Spotrac - is set to cost at least £7 million. And while that would see Everton make a major loss on the wide-man, it appears to be doing little towards winning the Newcastle supporters round.

Most of the Toon Army on social media appear to have no interest in seeing the 29-year-old head to St James' Park this summer, and hope that there is nothing in the rumour.

There is an interesting comment from one fan stating that they are prepared to give Bolasie a chance if he is one of Rafa Benitez's targets given he has worked wonders with a number of the signings that he has brought in during his time on Tyneside. But it is safe to say that most are not happy about this report.
