Celtic brought in Marian Shved during the January transfer window, but he has not played at Parkhead yet.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told the Scotsman that Marian Shved looked impressive in training.

Shved joined Celtic in January, but he was immediately loaned back to Karpaty Lviv until the end of the Ukranian season.

The wide-man has now linked up with his new Bhoys teammates for the first time though.

And Lennon has been very impressed by what he has seen from Celtic’s latest recruit.

“He trained yesterday and looked great. We unfortunately can’t use him, but he’s a very exciting player and looked right at home with his teammates,” he said. “He’s the type of player we enjoy at Celtic.”

There is great excitement about what Shved could do at Parkhead next term.

The rapid winger has caught the eye in the Ukraine this season, and since signing for Celtic his form has got even better.

Shved scored six goals in his final seven matches for Karpaty Lviv.

Celtic will not be able to use Shved this season, even though they still have matches to play.
