Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly completed a deal to sign young goalkeeper Isak Solberg.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement after reports from Norwegian outlet Stavanger Aftenblad suggested that Spurs have completed the signing of 15-year-old goalkeeper Isak Solberg.

No Tottenham fan needs to be reminded of how long it has been since Mauricio Pochettino managed to make an addition to his first-team squad. It has not had a huge impact, of course, with Spurs reaching the Champions League final this season, but there are likely to be plenty of supporters hoping for a busy summer after they finished fourth in the Premier League.

And, while it may not be the kind of signing that requires a dramatic unveiling, it appears that Spurs have already given their fans reason for encouragement by getting their first deal done.

According to Stavanger Aftenblad, Solberg has signed a three-year deal with the Premier League side ahead of his 16th birthday next month after two trials with the club.

The report notes that the plan is for Solberg to spend two years on a youth deal before turning professional ahead of the final year of the deal that he has just signed.

While there is some excitement on social media regarding his potential, the majority of supporters have joked about the fact that Spurs have ended their wait for a signing by landing the teenager who is clearly going to be some way off pushing for a first-team chance.
