CSKA Sofia are ready to sell star winger Edwin Gyasi for a bargain fee this summer, according to Football Ghana, as Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to be mentioned as a potential destination.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a shock move to Molineux since January, when Sports World Ghana reported that they failed with a £700,000 bid.

The same publication reported late last month, however, that Wolves are still in discussions about a potential deal for Gyasi who, while far from a household name, could be another inspired addition at a club who have recruited excellently in the last few years.

The five-time Ghana international has been in superb form since he moved to Bulgaria in 2018, scoring five goals and providing eight assists to fire Sofia into the title race.

But, according to Football Ghana, Gyasi was criticised by supporters after his listless performance in a goalless draw against league leaders Ludogorets last time out. And Sofia are now willing to sell the forward, having seemingly been unimpressed by his attitude if not his efficiency in front of goal.

Gyasi could be available for as little as £860,000 – which could make him a risk worth taking for Wolves.
