According to The Scottish Sun, Partick Thistle are interested in bringing Rangers striker Zak Rudden to the club on loan this summer.

Rangers have a whole host of players returning from loan deals with summer, and some will look to feature in the first team, such as midfielder Greg Docherty.

Others may simply hope to catch Steven Gerrard's eye before going out on loan again, and one such player is young striker Rudden.

The 19-year-old has hit 12 goals in 31 games on loan at Falkirk this season, and his impressive record is attracting further interest.

The Scottish Sun report that Partick Thistle boss Gary Caldwell wants to sign Rudden on loan, believing he can boost Partick's attacking options next season.

However, Gerrard may make them wait, as it's claimed he could have a look at Rudden in pre-season first, in order to see whether he's better off staying at Rangers.

Caldwell's men have struggled in the Scottish Championship this season, and Rangers may not feel that Partick is a big enough step up for Rudden's development after a relegation battle of his own this term.
