The 20-year-old is reportedly set to quit Liverpool this summer.
The Echo has reported that Conor Masterson will be leaving Liverpool this summer.
The 20-year-old Irish defender is out of contract at Melwood next month and, according to The Echo, will be moving on.
Masterson was given a taste of the big time by Jurgen Klopp last season after being named in squads for a Champions League quarter-final with Manchester City, and the Merseyside derby with Everton, though he didn’t come on in either game.
But the young centre-back hasn’t made any first-team squads this season and looks to have been overtaken by defensive duo Nat Phillips and Ki-Jana Hoever in terms of prospects.
Despite being set to quit the Reds, Masterson could well stay in the Premier League, though.
The Sun reported in March that Norwich City – who won the Championship this season – were interested in signing the youngster, though time will tell whether that is still a possibility.
Masterson would surely jump at the chance. Norwich boss Daniel Farke has established himself as one of the best young managers in England and working with the German may entice the Dubliner.
