Aston Villa made it through to the play-off final last night, with Tyrone Mings and John McGinn both playing well.

John McGinn has told Sky Sports that he believes Aston Villa need to sign Tyrone Mings permanently.
Mings was once again in excellent form for Villa, as they made it through in the play-offs last night.
Villa managed to beat West Bromwich Albion in a penalty shoot out, to leave themselves one win away from the Premier League.
And McGinn claims that the dream would be for Villa to get promoted and then sign Mings, who is on loan from Bournemouth, on a permanent deal.
“He’s been different class since he joined in January,” McGinn told Sky Sports Football (14/05/2019 at 10:55 pm) “Took us ages to get him, but he’s a colossus at the back. I just don’t know how he doesn’t get a game for Bournemouth. If we can keep a hold of Tyrone in the Premier League next summer if we do get there, it’ll be brilliant for the club.”

Mings has been rock solid at centre-back ever since he arrived at Villa Park, with the powerful defender playing a key role for Dean Smith’s side.
If Villa do not earn promotion then it seems unlikely that he will stick around, with Eddie Howe suggesting that he could be given more game-time at Bournemouth next term.
Villa made it to the Championship play-off final last season too, but they were beaten by Fulham on that occasion.
