According to a report from the Sun, Arsenal and Leicester are battling out to sign £25 million-rated Ismaila Sarr this summer, but Tottenham should surely join their Premier League rivals in the race for the Senegal international.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to bolster his attacking ranks this summer, with more top class competition required for the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura.
And Sarr could be just the ticket for Tottenham.
The 21-year-old, who can play anywhere along the front-line, has been in superb form for Rennes this season, racking up an impressive 12 goals and 11 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions thus far.
He possesses electric pace, and plays with a certain kind of directness that would make him ideally suited to the way in which Spurs play.
Sarr is also at an age where he can be developed further still, and that will surely appeal to a manager like Pochettino, who likes to mould his players into the kind of athletes and technicians that he needs to implement his high-octane pressing philosophy.
In today's day and age, £25 million for a player of the Rennes ace's ability would surely have to be considered as excellent value for money, and Tottenham should not hesitate to try and bring the youngster to north London this summer.
