Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could leave Ibrox this summer.
Rangers have seen Alfredo Morelos go through an action-packed season – and he may well be moving on from Ibrox come the end of the campaign.
Morelos, 22, has really kicked on under Steven Gerrard after a promising first season at Ibrox, and he’s now one of the biggest names in Scottish football.
Morelos has smashed 29 goals and 11 assists in 47 games this season, proving that he’s not only a great goalscorer, but he can link up play too.
Sadly, his disciplinary record has been shambolic, as he’s racked up 17 yellow cards and a frankly ridiculous five red cards, meaning some clubs may be put off paying big money to sign him.
Morelos has now been quoted by The Scottish Sun as saying that he knows there are clubs who want to sign him, and as soon as something official happens, he will announce it.
The Colombian international added that he wants to play in a more competitive league, but is committed to Rangers right now, despite his interest in playing in England, France, Italy and Spain.
Now, pundit Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to mock Morelos’s comments, noting that he hasn’t yet won anything at Rangers but is now talking about wanting a more competitive league, highlighting his disciplinary record too.
Hasn’t won anything… been sent off multiple times and dreams of playing in a “more competitive league “… https://t.co/TU2KMKMgYq— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) May 15, 2019
