Leeds United and Derby County will meet at Elland Road later this evening, with the winners set to face Aston Villa.

Aston Villa’s John McGinn has started a war of words with Leeds United and Derby County already, ahead of the play-off final, with his comments on Sky Sports.

Villa await the victors of Leeds United’s clash with Derby at Elland Road tonight in two weekends’ time at Wembley.

And McGinn insists that both Leeds and Derby will be fearful of playing against his side now.

“I just think you see the potential of the club. Everyone knows the size and stature of the place and I think it’d be a great addition to the PL,” he said, during Sky’s live coverage of the play-offs.

“It’ll be a very tough game coming up, whoever it is Leeds or Derby. I think they both won’t look forward to playing us, that’s for sure. We’re really looking forward to it.”

Leeds hold the upper hand in the battle to make Wembley, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side hold a 1-0 lead after the first-leg.

Leeds went to Derby and won at the weekend thanks to a goal from Kemar Roofe.

Villa, meanwhile, made it through on spot kicks against West Bromwich Albion yesterday.

McGinn, who only joined Villa for £3 million (Herald Scotland) in the summer, playing a starring role as Villa booked their place in the final.
