West Ham United should consider moving for Joao Mario, now that they could get him at a knockdown price.
West Ham had Mario on loan from Inter Milan two seasons ago, and they looked into bringing him to the London Stadium on a permanent deal then.
West Ham were quoted a fee of £25 million for the midfielder at that time, as reported by The Sun, and they decided that better options were on offer elsewhere.
Mario had impressed at West Ham, but his price tag was deemed to be too expensive by those at the club.
However, Inter are now offering Mario out for £10 million cheaper than before (Daily Mail) and that may just put West Ham on alert.
While Mario may not be the sort of addition to take West Ham to the next level, he has already proven he could be a very useful squad player.
And for just £15 million he would surely offer a very good value for money signing to Manuel Pellegrini’s side this summer.
