Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Everton's Lucas Digne in a potential swap deal.

Lucas Digne of Everton scores his team's third goal during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Manchester United at Goodison Park on April 21, 2019 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Star suggesting that Spurs are interested in Everton left-back Lucas Digne, but may have to make a bid that would involve Danny Rose heading to Goodison Park.

Digne has enjoyed an outstanding first year in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has scored four goals and provided four assists in the top flight for Marco Silva's men.

His form has not gone unnoticed, with the Daily Star reporting that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring the Frenchman to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer as he looks to freshen up his squad after a campaign which could still end with a Champions League triumph.

The Star added that Everton would only consider letting their £18 million signing head to Spurs if Rose was included in the move, with the Toffees also landing an additional fee with Digne now rated at twice his price last summer.

The news has attracted a mixed reaction amongst the Tottenham fans on social media. Rose has looked to be back to his best in recent times so there are some supporters who have no interest in seeing the 28-year-old go.

However, there are plenty who rate Digne highly and believe that Spurs would be getting the better end of the deal if a swap did take place - though it must be mentioned that several supporters have suggested trying to swap Ben Davies instead.
