Reading, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall are among a host of clubs lining up moves for Scunthorpe United midfielder Josh Morris on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Morris is set to become a free agent next month after rejecting several offers to extend his contract at Scunthorpe.

The 27-year-old's availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Morris was one of Scunthorpe's shining lights in a disappointing season which resulted in relegation, scoring five goals and providing six assists in just 19 League One outings.

The former Blackburn Rovers youngster saw his season held up by a couple of injury lay-offs and his absence was sorely missed as Scunthorpe failed to secure League One survival.

Reading, QPR and Millwall have all been keeping tabs on Morris' situation at Scunthopre and they are ready to battle a host of League One clubs for his signature this summer.

Morris is expected to weigh up all offers that come his way before deciding where to continue his career next season.
