Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino sold Mousa Dembele in the January transfer window.

Moussa Sissoko has admitted on Instagram that Tottenham Hotspur are missing Mousa Dembele.

Tottenham sold Dembele back in January, with the Belgian international going to play in China.

Since then Tottenham have suffered badly with injuries in central midfield, which has left Mauricio Pochettino’s options short in the area.

Sissoko has been forced to play with a range of different partners in the middle in 2019.

And the French international has admitted that Spurs still miss Dembele.

Tottenham received £11 million for Dembele in January (BBC Sport), with the transfer making sense from a business perspective, given that he had just six months remaining on his contract.

However, Tottenham’s poor league form has suggested that they have missed Dembele’s influence.

Spurs have still managed to claim a top four spot in the Premier League and make the Champions League final though, so thankfully for Pochettino Dembele’s departure hasn’t been costly.
