Michael Owen predicts disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur will face Liverpool in the Champions League final, while Arsenal will contest the Europa League final with Chelsea.

Michael Owen has predicted on BT Sport that Liverpool will win the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur this season.

The former Liverpool striker has also backed Chelsea to get the better of London rivals Arsenal in the final of the Europa League.

When asked to pick the Champions League final winners on BT Sport, Owen said: “Liverpool.”

Champions League final

Liverpool will head into the Champions League final in Madrid on June 1 against Tottenham as slight favourites.

The Reds have a better team than Spurs, and Jurgen Klopp’s side also reached the final last season.

Moreover, the Merseyside outfit will be determined to make up for the disappointment of narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.

Europa League final

Arsenal have failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, and the Gunners need to win the Europa League to feature in the Champions League during the 2019-20 campaign.

Chelsea ended in the top four, but the Blues will want to finish the campaign with a major trophy.

The Blues have the better team, but the final between the two London clubs in Baku could go all the way to a penalty shootout.
