The Maleficent: Mistress of Evil trailer is finally here.

Angelina Jolie is back again in the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil trailer, reprising her role as the Complex Disney villain. Robert Stromberg's 2014 film began to explore the relationship between Maleficent and Aurora (Elle Fanning), inviting Sleeping Beauty fans to delve into the tale like never before.

Although the live-action blockbuster failed to strike a chord with many critics, audiences have admired the film and withstanding desire for a sequel has now led to this. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will continue to explore the intriguing bond between these two characters, while they also work to confront a magical new threat. Visually, the trailer looks absolutely phenomenal; it appears director Joachim Rønning -taking over from Stromberg - has worked wonders with the material. Check it out below:

Audiences expected a sequel some time ago, so there have been doubts about its eventual release. Yet, it's always better late than never. Considering the gap between releases, it seems rather fitting that Maleficent: Mistress of Evil takes place several years after the events of the first film, as detailed by Empire

Fanning is similarly making a welcome return, and fortunately, we also have some fantastic new additions. Ed Skrein (Deadpool, If Beale Street Could Talk) is tackling the role of the villain, while Michelle Pfeiffer (Stardust, Mother!) is set to bring all of her charisma and wit to the role of Queen Ingrith. Everything looks set — the story continues to unravel October 18, 2019.

In other news, John Wick: Chapter 3 will divide fans for one major reason.
