MVV Maastricht defender Xavier Mbuyamba is reportedly a target for Premier League pair Chelsea and Liverpool, plus Celtic, Bayern Munich and FC Porto.

Celtic and Liverpool are among the clubs looking to sign promising centre-back Xavier Mbuyamba from Dutch outfit MVV Maastricht this summer, according to Voetbal International.
The versatile defender made his first-team debut for the second tier side at the age of just 16 and he has quickly established himself as one of the country’s most highly-rated players, making 11 appearances this season.
But MVV could be about to lose their prized asset, having failed to tie Mbuyamba down to a professional contract.
Voetbal International claims that Celtic and Liverpool both want to bring the teenage defender to Britain while Porto and Bayern Munich are also interested in what could prove to be an inspired investment.

Interestingly, Mbuyamba is currently on trial at Premier League giants Chelsea but, with the club failing to overturn their FIFA-imposed transfer ban, Maurizio Sarri’s side face missing out on the 6ft 5ins powerhouse.
Celtic are crying out for defensive reinforcements this summer with Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic set to leave and Mbuyamba is exactly the kind of little-known youngster the club have opted to sign in recent years.
Comparisons will inevitably be drawn with Virgil van Dijk, who moved to Glasgow from Eredivisie outfit Groningen in 2013.
