Moussa Sissoko lost out to Son Heung-min for Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Player of the Year gong.
Quite a few Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter believe that Moussa Sissoko should have won the Supporters’ Player of the Year.
Spurs announced this evening that Son Heung-min was voted as the club’s stand-out performer during the 2018-19 campaign.
The South Korea international has hit the 20-goal barrier and also scored some vital goals in Tottenham’s route to the Champions League final.
On the other hand, it has undoubtedly been Sissoko’s best season since joining the North Londoners back in 2016.
The Frenchman’s guile and energy from midfield has been a breath of fresh air for the Lilywhites, and many of their fans believe that the former Newcastle man was ‘robbed’.

As much as I love Son, Sissoko was the man this year. Turned up in every game. Giant.— Amit Patel (@amitsense) May 12, 2019
Sooooo no one watched sissoko? Cool— Georgia (@georgiapearl21) May 12, 2019
This is nonsense. It had to be Sissoko.— Ciarán (@Call_Me_Ciaran) May 12, 2019

Deserved but Sissoko deserved it just as much— Joe (@dontduckupTHFC) May 12, 2019
Son was excellent, but @MoussaSissoko was just pure awesome this season. My player of the season— Neil Hornus (@NinjaSharkRider) May 12, 2019
How did big Moussa not win that?! Unbelievable— mark coome (@THESnafu) May 12, 2019
It could have gone either way to be fair. For every argument in favour of Son winning it, there’s another for Sissoko.
In truth, it doesn’t really matter. Both have been outstanding for Tottenham this season and Mauricio Pochettino will need both at their best in the Champions League final against Liverpool on June 1.
